Description: Colour: Violet, deep mauve, and blue. Front: Jade head; stela from Nim Li Punit (Kekchi for big hat) in Toledo District; coat of arms; school of queen triggerfish and queen angelfish; Queen Elizabeth II wearing Grand Duchess Vladimir’s tiara and Queen Victoria’s golden jubilee necklace; carved Xunantunich arch in Cayo District as registration device.
Back: Arch; keel-billed toucan and Baird’s tapir; Maya ruins: Altun Ha in Belize District, Xunantunich in Cayo District, and Lubaantun in Toledo District. Windowed security thread.
Watermark: Carved head of the “sleeping giant.”

These notes are like preceding issues, but are smaller in size (150 x 75 mm for the 50- and 100-dollar notes and 140 x 70 mm for the lower denominations), the registration devices are encircled and divided into quarters, windowed security threads are common to all denominations, and they have horizontal novel serial numbers. Furthermore, the 100-dollar note is protected by a hologram and there’s a foil fish on the 50-dollar note.
