The Bosnia and Herzegovina dinar was the currency used in areas under Bosniak control between 1992 and 1998. No subdivisions were issued. The first Bosnian dinar was issued at the onset of the
war in July 1992, replacing the 1990 version of Yugoslav dinar at the rate of 1 Bosnian dinar = 10 Yugoslav dinara, placing it on par with the contemporary Yugoslav dinar.
