General information about the 1997 Franc Issues
In July 1998, the Congolese franc (subunit: centime) was reintroduced at a rate of 1:100,000 nouveaux zaïres. The bank used various printers to produce the notes. The printer imprint is located at lower right on the back, below the denomination. Because it is printed in the same color as the background and in tiny print, the imprint is often hard to read without a magnifying glass.
