Variations have been observed in the orientation of the individual letters comprising the BCC pattern watermarks on the earlier issues of 1-, 5-, and 10-peso notes. The 5-peso 2011 issue differs from earlier issues in many respects on both front and back, including a completely new engraving for the underprinting, with larger and repositioned text.
