These notes are like the preceding issues, but with the new bank headquarters building (completed in 1990) and Bauhinia blakeana (Hong Kong Orchid Tree) flower instead of coat of arms on back.
In April 1996, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), acquired De La Rues banknote factory at Tai Po and now operates it under the name of Hong Kong Note Printing Limited (Hong Kong Note Printing Limited).
