General information: 2008 - 2009 Issues
Following the 2008 introduction of Libyas first ever 50 dinar note, the Central Bank of Libya issued new notes of the lower denominations on 3 March 2009, to commemorate the 32nd
anniversary of the proclamation of peoples power in Libya, which is celebrated every year on 2 March. The new notes are similar to the preceding issues, but with revised designs and enhanced security features.
