The Central Bank of Libya began issuing this family of notes on 17 February 2013, the second anniversary of the revolution which overthrew Muammar Qaddaffi, although the 5 and 10 dinar notes were note issued until late 2015. All of the new notes are printed by De La Rue without imprint.
