These notes were issued following the overthrow of Muammar Qaddaf on 20 October 2011.
The 10 dinar note is available in two distinct types. The first was printed by De La Rue and features a Depth Image hologram whereas the later features Oberthurs new Jasper hologram, which combines a hologram with blind embossing in 3D, with at least two optical effects, as well as anti-photocopy and anti-scanner characteristics.
