The notes were designed by Norges Bank’s graphics department based on an idea of Leif F. Anisdahl, and the backs depict examples of Norwegian arts and handicrafts from earlier periods. The series designation VI appears to the right of the date on the front of notes dated 1983 - 1998. There is no 10-krone note in this series as this denomination was replaced by a coin in 1983.
