General information: In 1993, undated 500- and 1,000-vatu notes were issued with the new Reserve Bank of Vanuatu name. The 100-vatu denomination was dropped (according to the 2000 annual report, “since 1999, the VT100 bill has been out of print to be replaced by the VT100 coin”).
These notes are almost identical to the ones they replaced, except they were printed by Thomas De La Rue, with imprint, and the signatures and titles changed.
The security features are identical to those of the 1982 issues.
